Ode an Stuttgart

Also gut, noch mal andersrum:

beloved city

I told a lie

I left your care

I left your sight

I found this whore up in the north

I played bad games with you

sure I had to find myself

and find out what you knew before

I had to see that all I need

you´ve got it all for me

please take me back I´m your lost son

I didn´t know before I was gone

the stars are so much brighter here

my heart belongs to you

the whore up in the north I killed

I took a knife and pushed it deep

and as she cryed

and ask me why

I told her that it´s all for you

I thought a walk could set me free

I took my bag 123

the first train to another land

a stranger on the road

what did I find I cannot tell

another threat, another hell

a girl I met but she was pain

she was a bitch we played a losing game

day by day I walked around

and listened to the city sounds

but she never sang a song like you

she was hard on me she ate my boots

please take me back ...

newborn stars are hard to find

and if you can´t remember mine

come back and I´ll do my best

to light them up and give you rest

please take me back ...
